Ryan Myers

Inspired by primitive works of the Aztec and Incan cultures, Ryan Myers draws upon these influences to create vessels informed by the human figure. Myers is interested in both the sculptural and functional aspects of ceramics. He works to combine these attributes into vessels which, though not having a specific purpose can still be considered functional. Ryan’s subject matter is poised between the primitive and contemporary, his figures have an archetypal quality, while preserving a sense of modern life.
