DETOUR INFORMATION - 2025
The gallery will be closed on Tuesday, November 18
Construction on Main Street is progressing, and they will be pouring concrete in front of our building Tuesday. Staff will return to the gallery Wednesday, November 19.
Current Detour Map -
There is currently construction on Hwy 51 / Main Street in Stoughton in front of the gallery. Here are some suggestions on parking and how to make your trip easier.
If you are arriving from the east follow the blue local detour instructions on the map above.
If you are arriving from the west follow the yellow local detour instruction on the map above.
How to get to us:
Beginning 11/13/2025 they are beginning the task of laying concrete. Currently it might be most convenient to follow the detour and use 6th or 7th street to park and walk to us. You should be able to drive to our parking lot on the east side of our building, and that can best be achieved in the next two weeks by arriving from the east on Main street where one lane should be open to drive to us. If you are arriving from the west follow the detour to Academy Street and drive west to us on Main street to our building. The signs will say it is closed to through traffic, but local traffic is permitted. If you are a customer, you are local traffic. In addition to parking on 6th and 7th streets which are very near us. We also recommend trying Hillside Ave to the east or 4th, 5th, street to the west. There is a public parking lot south of us on 6th. street. We appreciate you making the extra effort to get to us during this time and supporting our exceptional artists! We promise it's worth the trouble.
Estimated Completion: Easier access by November 26th and entire main street open early to mid-December 2025
Impacted Routes:
Exit 156 will remain open, but closures begin east of Spring Road. Exit 147 at County N is recommended to those unfamiliar with the area.
Open Routes:
Exit 147/A via I-39/I-90 remains open
Wi-138 remains open
Co Rd B remains open
US 51 West of Church Street remains open until later phases of the project.
Parking
There is parking available along the east side of our building as well as on Main Street and along neighboring residential streets. There are also several public parking lots in the area including the Stoughton Library and City Hall lots.
Please do not park on the west side of our building. That parking lot belongs to another business, and they will tow vehicles. Thank you!
*Please note, we are working on ramp that is ADA compliant, but currently there are several steps to the entrance of the gallery. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to resolve this issue. We are happy to lend a hand if you need assistance on the stairs.
